About the Program
Wovenful promotes an online weaving program for beginning and occasional weavers. The NOW Online Seminar is a guided-teaching environment where online members can apply new skills and engage with their weaving cohort. We will learn about weaving patterns and the logic and language that are the roots of a knowledgeable weaving practice.
The NOW Calendar is set as a progression of topics. In its complete configuration, it is a two-year program; interested members may join or leave at the calendar breaks.

Sara White, owner / Instructor
Meet The Instructor
Sara’s goal is to support the learning process of the weaver. Her background includes working in administration for a mid-size college and spending thirteen years of self-directed study in weaving, with various instructors and weaving friends, as well as participation in conferences, workshops, and online courses. For a large part of her working years, she taught hands-on programs for small groups. She applies learning methods and materials design to clarify weaving processes, incorporating demonstration, visualization, and practice to help early and renewing weavers advance as they learn to weave.
Why join the program?
The program is an entry point for those who identify as new or returning weavers. With weaving there is a lot to process, and this program is a good way to begin or re-start. The program sets up several avenues for building confidence and gaining weaving skills. Membership entitles you to receive online meeting invites and free handouts, enjoy the Cohort page where colleagues can post and comment, and download research and resources from The Infrequent Research Corner.
New and Occasional Weavers Online Seminar Calendar 2026-2027
The two-year program topic cycle begins on the first Saturday in February of even-numbered years. Meetings are held online and scheduled for two hours on the first Saturday of each listed month. Meeting times are 11:00 am - 1:00 pm ET (a time slot selected to be inclusive of members living in various time zones).
